I have been making quilts since 1997. My husband's mom hand
quilts beautifully. She taught me the basics of piecing and
something about hand quilting.
My quilts are varied in style, from
simple piecing with beautiful hand quilting by Mom Lewis
to miniature quilts
paper piecing
machine appliqué
and machine quilting.
In these quilts, I attempt to express something of the beauty of
creation. Many people had a hand in the making of these quilts,
including the farmers who grew the cotton, the fabric designers, the
people who work in the mills, and the owners of the fabric shops.
Behind all of these (and the others not mentioned here) is Creator,
Spirit.
I honor the place of the Creator in the inspiration of these quilts.
